Our Initiatives

At Rebuild Hope, our passion is to empower the local foster care community in St. Clair County. We offer a diverse array of initiatives, purposefully designed to deliver a meaningful impact while remaining flexible to accommodate the unique needs of foster parents. Our driving force is the art of connecting needs to solutions, a process through which we intend to strengthen the entire community. Through these initiatives, we aspire to create an environment of support, collaboration, and transformation that benefits everyone involved, ultimately rebuilding hope in our community, one connection at a time.

All Hands In

Quarterly Connections

Quarterly Connections are a unique opportunity for foster parents in St. Clair County to come together, fostering camaraderie while also offering a platform to earn valuable Continuing Education (CE) credits. These gatherings are scheduled to commence in the first quarter of 2024.

Support Liaison

Rebuild Hope, primarily through the efforts of the Director, serves as a vital bridge between the Department of Human Resources (DHR) and foster parents. While Rebuild Hope is committed to helping resolve various challenges that may arise, we do not involve ourselves in DHR policy matters due to our lack of expertise. In cases where a policy issue arises, Rebuild Hope will step aside and defer to the Department for proper handling.

Foster Care Advocacy

Rebuild Hope is dedicated to promoting awareness of foster care and the essential support required for both the Department of Human Resources (DHR) and foster parents. This will primarily be achieved through speaking engagements and awareness campaigns. Additionally, Rebuild Hope will collaborate with DHR on efforts related to recruiting foster parents.

Facilitating Connections

Rebuild Hope aims to serve as a vital connection point, bridging the gap between needs and solutions. We do not aim to directly provide monetary assistance, tangible items, or services to those in need; rather, our focus is on linking challenges with appropriate solutions.
